Juventus ready for Bordeaux

Juve open their Champions League campaign at home to a Bordeaux side who won Ligue 1 last season.
“It’ll be a dangerous game for many reasons. It is very important that we don’t mess up the first match as you can’t afford to drop points.
“The first game of the competition is always tough and we are looking to do well. We have the squad to progress, but Bordeaux were the most dangerous side in Pot Three.

“They are unbeaten for some time and we’ll have to reflect on that.”
Ferrara will come up against a familiar face in the form of Laurent Blanc, the Bordeaux boss who was a former colleague at Napoli.

“I have great memories of our time together when we were teammates, there is a rapport of respect and friendship,” noted Ciro.
“I think that the club’s results in recent times speak volumes about the side and their Coach.”
Jonathan Zebina returns to the Juve squad, but Zdenek Grygera, Momo Sissoko and Hasan Salihamdizic are injured.
